The Rome Review presents Another First Language, a zine fully dedicated to multilingual authors. In the zine, independently produced, you can find eleven pieces of poetry and fiction by multilingual authors from across the world.
Another First Language wants to highlight authors who struggle to fully explore the high potential of their multilingualism in traditional publishing, where national and linguistic borders often meet the wants and needs of the market and create impossible walls. Another First Language offers a safe and open space to counter this phenomenon.
Another First Language, the first of a long series of zines produced by The Rome Review, is part of Exophonies, permanent laboratory of multilingual writing and art.
