in cauldrons

multilayered fear standing on the shore is watching

the shark-infested sea

and ambition hoping to cross and reach

the island of its dreams

between the two, the sea is caressing

the ups and downs of tides

and narrating the story of Columbus

on the bosom of waves

the sea as the solitary reaper is singing a song

that is left behind rudder marks

and reaches the cauldrons in fishermen’s houses

and the epic of exploration dances

around an open fireplace in the night

in a small hamlet on the shore

and forgets the pains of the day

here, mystery of life is brewing in cauldrons

permeating through the bare body of the night

for hugging the coming day.
